about me

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by!

My name is Alexandra. I was born and raised in Newport Beach, CA. In the winter of 2015, I moved to Nashville, TN, where I currently live and write this blog. I am in my mid-20’s and still going strong!

I created Journey into Aย years ago and I recreated it in the fall of 2017. I wanted a fresh start. It includes: journal entries that will be about my life, hopes, struggles, adventures, etc; posts about home decor; posts about health and wellness; posts about things I am reading or have read; and posts about what I am currently watching or have previously watched.

With this blog, I hope to bring other’s along with me on my journey as well as help and inspire them. From my followers, I hope to build friendships and find inspiration from others. A pretty large theme is my dealings with major depression and general anxieties disorder, and I’m hoping that by sharing posts about it, those feeling the same or similarly will know they’re not alone. Otherwise, my blog is pretty straightforward andย can lead anywhere- life is all about the journey anyway! I hope you enjoy and stay along for the journey!

  1. Wishing you much luck and success on your re-invented blog site and life in general. So much lies ahead with you at the helm. Navigate the course to satisfy your needs and wants. Help others along the way.

  2. Hi Alexandra.

I see you followed my blog (A River Runs Through It)! Welcome! Curious to know how you got to it though ๐Ÿ™‚

And glad to see some very interesting content here! Cheers to you!

    • Hi! Thank you for the welcome and the compliment! Honestly, I have spent hours just going through the discovery section finding so many wonderful blogs that I ended up just branching out and branching out and I came across your blog and liked what I saw!

  3. Hi friend
I want to thank you for stopping by Survivors Blog Here and pulling up a chair. That’s the perfect way to see what each contributor has to offer. My name is Melinda, Survivors Blog Here and Looking for the Light Blog are my sites. Survivors is the collaborative/community site.
No you’re not alone in seeing a dip in depression this time a year. Many people’s body reacts to less light. I have a light that has full spectrum rays. They are easily found in craft or sewing stores. My brother bought mine for last Christmas.
Sounds like we have similar experiences with depression and anxiety. You can read my About Me page to get in depth info of my struggles. I offer out my hand to you, take it anytime. With your desire to help I could see you joining Survivors Blog Here.
Let me know how I can help. I’m 54 so I have plenty of water go under the bridge.

  4. Hey Alexandra! So glad you found me and decided to hang out. Blogging is a great way to get the thoughts that torture you inside your headโ€”out. Keep on writing…

    Grace and peace,

  5. Hi Alexandra! Thanks for following me and for all the likes that show me that you looked at a lot of my blogs. You say that you are in your mid-20โ€™s and still going strong! I am approaching my mid 80’s and still going strong, well, sort of. Of course at my age there are certain limitations. But I try to keep up as much as possible with what is going on in my family and the world. And I like to write about what I can remember from childhood on!
    Hugs and Best Wishes!
